
Kazan --- A delegation from Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) is taking part in the international forum of chambers of commerce and industry held in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia.
The forum, which sees the participation of heads of chambers of commerce, economic bodies and business owners from different countries of the world, is being held as part of the activities of “Russia-Islamic World Forum: Kazan Forum 2026”.
The delegation of the OCCI is led by Eng. Said bin Ali Al Abri, member of OCCI Board of Directors, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the OCCI Branch in North Al Batinah Governorate.
The sessions of the forum elaborated on the need to promote international economic integration, in addition to the role of the private sector in supporting development. They explored promising investment opportunities in the fields of ‘halal’ economy, food industries, logistics and modern technologies sectors.
The forum also included meetings among delegations and an economic exhibition that showcases products, services and investment opportunities. The events aim to help establish new economic partnerships and enhance commercial cooperation between participating countries and establishments.
Kazan forum figures among the most prominent economic events held on the sidelines of “Russia-Islamic World forum”, which has developed into an international platform that brings together decision-makers, investors and heads of chambers of commerce from different countries of the world who discuss opportunities for economic and commercial cooperation.
Eng. Said Al Abri underlined the significance of the event which, he observed, serves as an international platform to enhance trade and investment cooperation and open up new channels for partnership among business communities. He affirmed the Sultanate of Oman’s keenness to enhance its presence in international economic events and establish sustainable economic partnerships.
