Muscat: The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) will launch the "Artaj" interactive application, the State Administrative Apparatus Coordination Portal, and the Central Data Repository project on Wednesday at a ceremony to be held at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Muscat.
These initiatives are part of the NCSI's efforts to enhance the national data system, promote statistical literacy, and utilize modern technologies to support development and evidence-based decision-making. They also aim to strengthen institutional integration and digital transformation within the State Administrative Apparatus, aligning with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
The "Artaj" application is expected to provide an interactive educational experience designed to cultivate statistical awareness and knowledge among children.
The State Administrative Apparatus Coordination Portal aims to unify communication and coordination channels among government entities, enabling the exchange of reports, publications, studies, government projects, survey results, and public opinion polls. This will enhance the shared use of institutional knowledge, support decision-making, and improve the efficiency of government performance.
The Central Data Repository project also represents a significant step towards enhancing the integration, efficiency, and quality of national data, thereby supporting digital transformation and the development of government services.
The event will include presentations on the three initiatives and an overview of their key objectives and expected outcomes in supporting the statistics and information system, strengthening government integration, and consolidating digital transformation in the Sultanate of Oman.
