
Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, held a session of talks today with Bakary Yaou Sangaré, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Nigeriens Abroad of the Republic of Niger.
The two sides discussed areas of cooperation and opportunities to develop the commercial and economic partnership between the two countries. They agreed to follow up on the completion of a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding to encourage and stimulate further exchange and communication at the government and private sector levels.
Furthermore, they aimed to develop commercial and investment exchange and capacity building to achieve mutual benefits and shared interests.
During the talks, the two ministers exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest, affirming the importance of continuing consultation and coordination between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed Ali Al Balushi, Head of the Africa Department at the Foreign Ministry, along with several officials from both sides.
