Neymar reiterates Brazil retirement: 'I don't want to anymore'

Muscat: Neymar has reiterated that his international career with Brazil is over, dismissing any possibility of a return to the national team.

Speaking after Santos' 4-2 victory over Universidad Central, the 34-year-old said: "My time with the national team is over. I made history, I was very happy, I gave my blood, my life, I always fought for the yellow jersey, but now I don't want to anymore."

Neymar announced his retirement from international football after Brazil's shock 2-1 Round of 16 defeat to Norway at the FIFA World Cup 2026. Brazil's all-time leading scorer finished his international career with 81 goals in 132 appearances, surpassing Pelé's long-standing record, and leaves as one of the most decorated players in the nation's football history.
