
Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources on Thursday signed an agreement for the provision of consultancy services for the design and supervision works of the Fish Industries City project in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, at a total value of OMR1,637,000.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Ministry by Eng. Yaqub Khalfan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Fisheries, and on behalf of the company by Ali Mohammad Al Mashali, CEO of Khatt Al Toul Engineering Consultancy.
The agreement entails the consultancy firm providing all specialised technical studies, preparing engineering designs and the necessary studies to ensure the project's implementation in accordance with the highest standards of quality and operational efficiency.
The Fish Industries City project is considered one of the strategic and vital projects in the Sultanate of Oman, aimed at developing infrastructure to support the growth of the fisheries industry and enhance the added value of the sector, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 for diversifying national income sources and developing the governorates.
