354 green and heritage inns, guest houses, rest stops and camps in South Al Batinah

A’Rustaq: Green inns, heritage inns, guest houses, rest stops and camps in South Al Batinah Governorate are contributing to redefining the tourism experience in the governorate, owing to the fact that some are situated in locations rich in natural and heritage components, while others are located in environments that still preserve the essence of traditional life.

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has affirmed that these types of tourism establishments are witnessing growing demand, having provided promising investment opportunities for youth and entrepreneurs to adopt innovative projects, alongside diversifying tourism experiences that enrich the sector and enhance the attractiveness of destinations.

The Ministry, represented by the Heritage and Tourism Department in South Al Batinah Governorate, pointed out that the number of licensed green inns, heritage inns, guest houses, rest stops, and camps in the governorate reached approximately 354 establishments by the end of the first half of 2026. These consist of 5 rest stops and 2 camps, 275 guest houses, 70 green inns, and 2 heritage inns, distributed across the wilayats of Barka, Al Musannah, A’Rustaq, Nakhal, Wadi Al Maawil and Al Awabi.
