Royal Court Affairs receives new batch of recruits

Muscat: Acting in coordination with the Ministry of Labour, the Royal Court Affairs today received a new batch of citizens, at its Security Unit in Muscat, for training to work as soldiers in different departments.

After passing the stages of assessment and admission, the recruits will begin a military training programme that will qualify them to perform their missions in accordance with the requirements of the national duty.

The new batch will receive training at the Military Training Centre of the Royal Court Affairs' Security Unit. The programme includes Field Skills, Infantry Skills and Physical Fitness Skills.

The programme also includes a course about military discipline and knowledge of military rules, regulations and laws—to develop the cognitive level of the recruits and prepare them to practice their prescribed roles in an efficient manner.

Lt. Col. Saud Mohammed Al Harrasi, Director of the Military Training and Qualification Centre, said, “Extensive efforts have been made to help the members of the new batch of recruits garner military skills and proper knowledge before they join their colleagues in military units of the Royal Court Affairs. Attention is also undertaken to ensure the diversity of the training programme in order to raise the military, physical and cognitive level of the soldier recruits."
