Oman Authority for Quality Assurance of Education launches strategic plan (2026–2030)

Muscat: Oman Authority for Quality Assurance of Education today launched its Strategic Plan (2026–2030), structured across eight domains, comprising three core domains and five enabler domains.

The core domains encompass the quality of teaching and learning, cooperation and partnership, and reputation-building and capacity-building, while the five enabler domains comprise governance and administration, the digital ecosystem, planning and development, human resources and financial enablement, and the work environment and institutional culture.

The launch of the Authority's Strategic Plan took place under the patronage of Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, Minister of Economy.

This move reflects the Authority's continued national role in advancing the education ecosystem and enhancing the quality of its outcomes across all levels and types, and translating national approaches aimed at developing education as a fundamental pillar of sustainable development and national capacity-building, thereby supporting continuous improvement and reinforcing the Authority's standing as a national reference in the field of education quality assurance.

The launch of the Plan represents a step embodying the Authority's future approaches toward advancing the education quality system and enhancing its efficiency and credibility.

The Plan is founded upon a set of institutional values, including integrity and transparency, professionalism, partnership, flexibility, and future foresight, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of institutional performance and supporting the realization of the Authority's strategic objectives during the forthcoming phase.

The launch ceremony featured a visual presentation depicting the Authority's journey in building a national system for education quality assurance. It reviewed the evolution of its institutional trajectory and the impact and achievements it has realized.

The presentation culminated in the new Strategy (2026–2030), which represents an extension of the approaches of Oman Vision 2040.
