Customs foils attempt to smuggle crystal meth into Oman

Muscat: Oman’s Customs Authority has thwarted an attempt to smuggle the narcotic substance crystal meth into the Sultanate of Oman.

The authority said that customs officers discovered 168 paper envelopes saturated with crystal meth concealed inside a postal parcel.

The seizure was made during customs inspection procedures, leading to the detection of the narcotic substance and the foiling of the smuggling attempt.

The Authority reaffirmed its continued efforts to combat the smuggling of narcotic substances and other prohibited materials, and to protect society from their harmful effects.
