National Emergency Management Committee reviews response to grounded ship off Hallaniyat Islands

Muscat: The National Emergency Management Committee reviewed the ongoing efforts in dealing with the grounded ship off Hallaniyat Islands in Dhofar Governorate. 

The National Emergency Management Committee held a meeting today, chaired by His Excellency Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsen Al Shuraqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs and Chairman of the National Emergency Management Committee.

During the meeting, a number of topics were discussed to enhance the efficiency of the committee's system in responding to emergencies.

It emphasised the importance of continuing to take all necessary measures to mitigate potential risks to public safety and the marine environment of the Sultanate of Oman, in accordance with the established plans.
