Muscat: The Ministry of Social Development organised on Thursday the 2nd Professional Inclusion Forum between rehabilitation centres, schools and colleges. The forum, titled “skills without barriers” was held under the auspices of Dr. Badr Hamoud Al Kharousi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education.
The Forum, which was attended by 200 participants, aimed to reinforce social and professional inclusion between persons with disabilities and students of schools, colleges and universities. This inclusion will be carried out by furnishing an interactive and participatory environment in which persons with disabilities are provided with opportunities for communication, joint work and development for practical skills.
Moreover, the forum aimed to boost self-confidence for persons with disabilities, in addition to emphasising their creativity and professional skills. Furthermore, the forum contributes to breaking stereotypes about persons with disabilities’ potentials and capabilities.
