For some time, Al Sumar had realised the market had a need for an exclusive online service for restaurant and café owners, and their customers. The main objectives of this website is to benefit both groups and keep them happy.
The idea behind dineinmuscat.com is to provide diners with as much information as possible so that they can make an informed choice about where to eat. Restaurants and cafés are listed on the website according to the twin categories of location and type of food. The information is simple and easy to access.
“For example, if you fancy eating at an Italian restaurant in Al Khuwair area, you simply click on both categories, and the website will bring up all the choices available,” says Al Sumar. The website boasts an impressive number of food specialities, including Middle Eastern, French, Chinese, Indian, Thai, Filipino, and many others.
Today’s diners with Internet at their fingertips are far more discerning than in the past. “Customers want to know everything about a restaurant before deciding where to spend their money,” says Al Sumar. “It’s no longer just about the food – it’s about the layout, décor, and ambience and also how easy the eating outlet is to get to, and where to park.”
The other idea behind the website is to help restaurant and café owners attract more customers and increase their revenue. All listed restaurants and cafés are invited to provide detailed information to showcase their business, including address and contact details, photographs, full menus with prices and maps that can be printed out.
