Golf for Atta’a raises funds to help needy families in Oman

Muscat: A golf tournament, entitled ‘Golf for Atta’a’, was recently held by Gopal and Niti Jagwani to raise funds for needy families.
The tournament received corporate and individual donations. Gopal and Niti have been organising events and contributing to various causes for Dar Al Atta’a since 2010.
Regarding the tournament, Maryam Issa Al Zadjali, Chairperson of Dar Al Atta’a, said, “The organisers of this tournament were able to spread the fun of giving between the participants, and collected funds which will be used to furnish a house for an underprivileged family.”
Niti said that although businesses and the market in Oman have been experiencing difficult times, people still come together to perform good deeds for one another. “While we all continue to do good work, I truly wish that we and our future generations work towards a world in which charity would be unnecessary,” said Niti.
Ajay Ganti and Aleo Oyedele were the first place winners, followed by Azzan Al Rumhy and Manok Mahanta in second place, leaving Gopal Jagwani and Ezwan Hakimi Arbi in third.
Al Zadjali thanked the organisers for their support, as well as the sponsors of the tournament, including Khimji Ramadas, Celebrity Global Holding, Al Mirath Petrogas, Ghala Golf Club and Al Nahda Resort and Spa.
