Big wins for India's BJP in state elections

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stormed to a landslide victory in India's most important battleground state, Uttar Pradesh. Nearly four in every ten voters came out in support of Modi, a major boost after a slow start to his campaign in the state that wasn't helped by his decision to take nearly 90 percent of India's cash out of circulation.
