Montreal: Passenger traffic via Muscat International Airport has risen by 25. 2 per cent by July 2017 compared to the same period in 2016, according to a report published by the Montreal - based Airports Council International (ACI).
The report released by Travel Daily News on its website said that Muscat International Airport has led the growth in passenger traffic among the Middle East airports with a capacity from 5 to 15 million passengers, followed by Kuwait International Airport with a growth of 24. 3 per cent and Sharjah International Airport by 8. 2 per cent.
The report indicated that the passenger traffic via Muscat International Airport has increased on a monthly basis by 7. 7 per cent and has almost reached 17. 5 per cent in June 2017.
The passenger traffic in the Middle East Region has grown by 4 per cent in July 2017 compared to July 2016, according to the report.
