Muscat: Reiterating its commitment towards investing in the capabilities and growth of its executive management team members, Bank Sohar announced the appointment of Abdulhafeedh Al Balushi as AGM and head of SME and Marc Zogheib as senior chief manager & head - Financial Institutions Group (FIG). The new assignment comes in line with the bank’s progressive strategy, which aims to attract and retain the most competent local and global expertise for its workforce.

Abdulhafeedh has over 20 years in different fields of banking, including corporate banking, retail banking, project financing, business development, marketing, credit risk and operations. His last held position was with a local bank where he held the responsibilities of Head of Credit and Marketing - Corporate Banking SME. Abdulhafeedh has a Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration from the Preston University of Management, Science and Technology in Pakistan, which is affiliated with Preston University in Wyoming, USA.
Marc Zogheib has 22 years of banking experience in Corporate and Institutional Banking, Risk Management and Syndications in leading banks in Australia and the GCC. His last held position was at one of the prominent GCC banks as area manager – International Banking. He holds a Master’s in Finance from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia.
