Muscat: SalamAir launched its first daily direct flights from Muscat International Airport to Dubai International Airport with two flights a day.
Mohammed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir, said, "The past years have witnessed a significant increase in the number of passengers between Muscat and Dubai.
In addition to being a gateway to the most prominent business, entertainment and tourism destinations in the world, Dubai International Airport is one of the region’s largest, most and dynamic airports and is a major hub connecting a wide network of destinations around the world.
He added in a press conference that the company’s decision to operate daily flights from Muscat International Airport to Dubai International Airport is in response to the increasing demand for economic flights to the most popular destination, adding that he is confident that the company provides the suitable dates and economic prices for these flights which will contribute to strengthening the bonds of cooperation between the Sultanate and the United Arab Emirates.
SalamAir will continue to fly to Al Maktoum International Airport until October 28th, after which all flights will be transferred to Dubai International Airport.
The airline’s network of destinations now includes Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, Dubai, Jeddah, Karachi and Sialkot.
