12th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is back

Muscat: “What are children's dreams? What is the importance and beauty of having dreams? Can they share their dreams?” This seems to be the impetus behind Toyota holding a Dream Car Art Contest since 2004 across the world. A unique challenge, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest gives children an opportunity to develop an interest in cars and helps them feel the joy of having a dream.
“Hailing from all corners of the globe, children share ideas about the future of mobility by drawing their dream cars to make the world a better place, display their talent, and stand a chance to win a trip to Japan,” remarked the spokesperson for Saud Bahwan Automotive (SBA) with respect to the 12th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest to be conducted in association with the Ministry of Education.
From all over Oman, SBA is inviting entries for the contest that will be held in various showrooms as per the schedule was shown. For more details, one can visit the nearest Toyota showroom.
During the event, materials such as drawing sheets and drawing kits will be provided. Each contestant participating at the Toyota showroom will be awarded a Certificate of Participation. For those who are not able to make it to the event, additional drawing sheets are kept at all Toyota showrooms. These can be collected anytime between October 20 to December 15. Three winners from each branch (one from the three age categories comprising the ‘under 8’, ‘8 to 11’ and ‘12 to 15’ years groups), will be chosen and nine winners, will be selected as national winners.
“We welcome kids up to 15 years old from all over Oman to participate in the 12th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest,” said the spokesperson, “The best entries stand a chance to win exciting prizes such as Sony Play Station 4, Apple iPad 5, X box 360, LG 43" UHD TV, Dell Laptop, JBL Sound Bar, Samsung S8, Canon DSLR Camera, LG 43” LED TV and gift vouchers.
The winners of the national contest will be eligible to take part in the world contest to win gold, silver and bronze awards and an invitational trip to Japan.
Contest terms & conditions: The contest is open to any legal resident of the Sultanate of Oman aged 15 years or under. Artwork can be created using any paint including water paint, colour markers, crayons and should be drawn by hand. Digitally created artwork will not be accepted; Artwork should include a background and should be submitted on entry forms available at Toyota showrooms; Judging will be based on originality, artistic expression, concept and colouring; All artworks should be submitted with an entry form signed by the participant and a parent or guardian.
