Muscat: Two more flights will take off from Sohar Airport from today as the Public Authority for Civil Aviation has cleared extra flights for Air Arabia.
In a late night tweet, PACA announced the approval for Air Arabia to operate two more flights from Sohar.
With the approval, Sohar Airport will have 20 flights operating weekly.
Air Arabia started operating from Sohar from July 9 this year. Sohar is Air Arabia’s third destination in Oman.
The carrier operates daily flights Muscat and Salalah. Air Arabia is the first international carrier to operate from Sohar. With this, Air Arabia will connect passengers from Sohar to over 50 destinations in the Middle East, North Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Central Asia and Europe — 22 countries from Sharjah, 11 destinations in eight countries from Ras al Khaimah, and six destinations in four countries from Alexandria.
From October 1, Qatar Airways added four additional weekly flights to make a daily service from Sohar.
