Muscat: The Environment Preservation Office at the Diwan of Royal Court has decided to open the Natural Living Sanctuary in Al Wusta Governorate for citizens, residents, visitors, researchers and wildlife photographers.
Permits would be available at the sanctuary gate from 30 November for two weeks and visits would allowed be from 7am to 11am and from 3pm to 5pm.
Located in the Wilayat of Haima the sanctuary covers a total area of 2,824 square kilometres and is primarily concerned with protection and preservation of Arabian Oryx.
