Muscat: As part of its commitment to promoting cleanliness, National Detergent Company (NDC) has launched its 'Clean Oman' campaign for Omani school students in Sohar.
The team from NDC has been visiting schools and talking to students from Classes V-VIII in order to raise awareness about good hygiene habits. The team also emphasises students’ active participation in keeping their home, school and surroundings clean for a better tomorrow.
Supported by the Ministry of Education, the 'Clean Oman' campaign till date has reached out to over 80,000 school students in Muscat, Sur and Sohar.
After the briefing, NDC team hands over samples of its premier products – Bahar and D’Zire Ultra Soap to the students. The students also get a chance to win smartphones and tablets by sketching their favourite Bahar products and posting them on the Facebook page of NDC. In the coming weeks, the team from National Detergent will be visiting more schools in Sohar.
Speaking about the campaign, Anish Kumar, head of Marketing and Regional Sales, NDC said: “Emboldened by the positive response to the initiative, we want to continue educating students in Omani schools on the importance of adopting healthy hygienic habits. NDC believes that businesses must make a positive contribution to society by being socially responsible. All our products promote and ensure hygiene, and that is why we have decided to focus on this campaign. This initiative has been well received in schools across Muscat, Sur, and now in Sohar. We wholeheartedly thank the Ministry of Education for their support to this initiative.”
“The ‘Clean Oman’ campaign is in line with NDC's corporate social responsibility strategy that focuses on three main elements – environment, human capital and community. We believe that by educating and engaging the upcoming generations on the importance of clean Oman, we are able to shape their behaviour to help maintain and preserve our environment and the beauty of the nation,” he added.
