Muscat: More than 60 premier Thai companies are going to showcase exciting products and services at the third Thai Trade Exhibition Oman 2018, which will be held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (hall number 2) between May 1 and 5.
The five-day long trade show is expected to be a unique opportunity for both Omani traders and consumers to get a variety of authentic Thai products at great bargains.
Omani visitors can expect a variety of quality products such as beauty, spa and wellness products; fashion and accessories, lifestyle and home products, authentic Thai food and beverages and services ranging from construction and franchises to medical services and hospitals.
The premier trade fair will also offer major buyers from the Sultanate and across the larger Middle East region a unique opportunity to meet Thai exporters, wholesalers, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and entrepreneurs.
In an attempt to strengthen trade between Thai exporters and Omani traders, the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) will organise a match-making business-to-business (B2B) meeting between 9.30am and 12 noon on May 2 on the premises of the chamber. As many as 75 Thai traders are expected to participate in the B2B meet.
In fact, OCCI and the Public Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Riyada) will invite Omani firms to participate the business meeting, which is expected to attract the attention of the local trading community.
Organised by Vega Intertrade& Exhibition, the Thai Trade Exhibition Oman 2018 is supported by Oman International Exhibition Centre (OIEC), Tourism Authority of Thailand, Royal Thai Embassy, Vejthani Hospital, Bangpakok 9 Hospital, Thai Muslim Trade Association and Thai Airways.
The last two Thai trade fairs held in Oman were a great success with trade revenue and a number of visitors far exceeding the expectations of its organisers. The trade show is also accoladed to the thriving business community of Oman while accentuating the importance of the newly-opened mega Oman Exhibition and Convention Centre as the region's prime destination for trade shows.
Besides, the visitors to the trade show can enjoy a unique shopping experience at bargain prices; they can also have a chance to win round trip to Thailand with free hotel accommodation.
“This year is another phase towards our long-term goal shaping a stronger cooperation among the business people in Oman, Middle East and Thailand,” said Akavut Tangsilikusonwong, managing director of Vega Intertrade & Exhibitions.
“With our experience and expertise in organising trade shows and exhibitions in the Middle East, we are sure that buyers and visitors alike will enjoy our Thai products and services as well as establish a fruitful relation with Thai businesses from various industries,” added Tangsilikusonwong.
“Last year, we prepared 100 pieces of our organic rice soap, including a large batch of our shower gel, lotions, etc, and they all sold out. We observed that our organic, healthy and natural products (with a sense of Thainess) were very well received. As a marketing consultant, I see the Middle East as a remarkable market,” said Nutchomthorn Sabaibang, Marketing Consultant of iConnect International.
“We are confident that we can be successful after participating at the Thai Trade Exhibition Oman 2016, which was our first event in the Middle East, where we got great feedback from customers. It was way beyond our expectations. Customers in the Middle East were interested in our products because many of them went to Thailand already. They are familiar with Thai herbs and Thai products,” said Akkharaphat Tangtrongchitr, managing director, Jisprapat Limited Partnership – a company engaged in producing healthcare products such as inhalers, balms, massage oils and yellow oil.
“We are currently talking to local distributors there. I think the Thai Trade Exhibitions are great because Middle East customers, who are fond of Thai products, will know that Thai brands are happy to knock on their doors,” added Tangtrongchitr.
“It was very impressive to exhibit our products at the Thai Trade Exhibition Oman last year. We received good feedback right from the first day. We bought 80 kilograms of our products, and they all sold out within the first three days. We agreed to ship our products to Iran and to a big mall in Oman. Joining this event not only has helped increase our distribution channels but has widened our vision and experience,” noted Supaporn Klinhom of SPC Group – a company engaged in dry fruit exports.
Registration is free for all buyers and visitors, besides free parking at the exhibition venue.
