OMR1,500 recovered by consumer watchdog

Muscat: A total of OMR1,500 was recovered in south Al Sharqiyah Governorate by the Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP).
The money was recovered after the consumer watchdog settled an issue between a customer and a labour agency. Authorities said, a customer filed a complaint after a domestic worker, who was hired through a labour agency failed to abide by his terms of contract, was not replaced by the agency.
PACP said, " A settlement in the case was organised by the PACP after the authority intervened to resolve the dispute. As a result of the authority's arbitration, the agency returned OMR 1,500 to the customer."
