Expat arrested for stealing from nine shops in Oman

Muscat: An expat has been arrested for stealing from nine shops, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced.
According to police officials, the thefts took place in the Wilayat of Sur, but no information on what was stolen was made available.
In a statement online, ROP said, "The Criminal Investigation Department of South Sharqiyah police, managed to arrest an Asian expat over theft charges from nine shops in Sur."
Police officials added that the accused has been referred to the for further investigation and trial. ROP calls upon shop owners to install surveillance cameras to avoid thefts.
