​Expat arrested for begging in Oman

Muscat: An expat of "Asian nationality" has been arrested on charges of fraud and begging, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced.

The person was arrested driving a vehicle that had number plates from another Gulf country, police added.

In a statement online, ROP said,"The Dhofar police command has arrested a person of Asian nationality driving a vehicle with Gulf plates, on charges of fraud and begging, with all legal proceedings set to be taken against him."
