Three expats arrested on charges of theft in Oman

Muscat: Three expats have been arrested for stealing from shops, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced.
Officials said that the expats of “Asian nationalities” had stolen from shops in Muscat and Dakhiliyah governorates.
In a statement online, “The Department of Criminal Investigation managed to arrest three Asians [on charges of] theft of safes from different shops in Muscat and Dakhiliyah governorates.”
After search and investigation was carried out, the culprits were identified and arrested in Muscat.
ROP added, “The stolen stuff, tools and the clothes used for the crime were recovered from their residence in Muscat.”
The accused have been referred to judicial authorities for further investigation.
