​52.6 per cent increase in Salalah visitors this year

Muscat: Salalah has recorded a massive 52.6 per cent increase in the number of tourists visiting the city for the ongoing Khareef season, compared with the same period last year.

"390,925 visitors to Salalah for the Khareef season were recorded in 2018, where 256,247 tourists visit Dhofar last year." Oman's National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) announced.

Stats showed that 75.5 per cent of visitors are Omanis, 9.1 per cent are Emiratis and 8.5 per cent are from other GCC countries.
