Six expats arrested for stealing donation boxes in Oman

Muscat: A total of six people were arrested for stealing donation boxes in separate incidents in the Sultanate, the Royal Oman Police has announced.
In the first case, two people of “Asian” nationality were arrested in a joint operation between the department of criminal investigation, the Northern Batinah Police, Suwaiq police station and the special task police.
“Two people of Asian nationality were accused of vandalism and theft in the Wilayat of Suwaiq.” ROP said, while adding, “The suspects were stealing clothes collection and donations boxes. The stolen items and tools used during the theft were found in one of the suspect's vehicle.”
In the second case, officials at the Al Khoud police station arrested "four people on charges of disturbing public welfare, vandalism, and theft from donation boxes in mosques, shops, and cafes in Al Khoud."
The suspects admitted to committing a total of "seven crimes”.
