Ministry of Manpower: Rumour about job seekers untrue

Muscat: The Ministry of Manpower has stated that rumours circulating on social media suggesting that job seekers are to be charged fees in order to be notified of job offers are untrue.

In a statement online, the ministry said "the Ministry of Manpower confirms that what is currently circulating on social media about job seekers being charged a fee in order to be notified of job offers is incorrect.

The ministry went on to add that it reserves the right to take legal action against those who publish such rumours, emphasising the importance of taking information from official sources.
