Muscat: The MSM30 index ended higher to close at 4417.92 points, up by 0.13 per cent. MSM Sharia Index closed at 602.68 points, up by 0.05 per cent. SMN Power Holding was the most active in terms of volume and in terms of turnover. The top gainer of the day was Gulf Invest Services Holding, up by 2.53 per cent while the top loser was SMN Power Holding which closed lower by 31.11 per cent.
A total number of 275 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR1.59 million with more than 5.51 million shares changing hands. Out of 27 traded stocks, 10 advanced, 6 declined and 11 remained unchanged. At the session close, foreign investors were net sellers for OMR10,000, followed by GCC and Arab investors for OMR5,000 while Omani investors were net buyers for OMR16,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index gained 0.08 per cent to at 6,895.84 points. Gulf Invest Services Holding, Al Anwar Holding, Bank Muscat, Al Madina Takaful and HSBC Bank were up by 2.53 per cent, 2.02 per cent, 1.42 per cent, 1.02 per cent and 0.85 per cent respectively. Ominvest, National Bank Of Oman, and Bank Dhofar were down 1.16 per cent, 1.1 per cent and 0.6 per cent respectively.
Industrial Index gained 0.22 per cent to close at 5265.64 points. Galfar Engineering and Oman Fisheries were up by 2.15 per cent and 1.41 per cent respectively. Oman Fisheries, Galfar Engineering, There were no losers.
Services Index gained 0.09 per cent to close at 2355.97 points. OIFC, Phoenix Power and Ooredoo were up by 2.53 per cent, 1 per cent and 0.35 per cent respectively. SMN Power Holding, Al Suwadi Power, and Al Jazeera Services were down by 31.11 per cent, 0.88 per cent, and 0.86 per cent respectively.
