Muscat: The MSM30 index ended lower to close at 4416.90 points, down by 0.70 per cent. MSM Sharia Index closed at 610.19 points, down by 0.10 per cent. Bank Dhofar was the most active in terms of volume while Bank Muscat was the most active in terms of turnover. The top gainer of the day was HSBC Bank, up by 0.85 per cent while the top loser was Vision Insurance which closed lower by 5.76 per cent.
A total number of 225 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR883,000 with more than 4.70 million shares changing hands. Out of 25 traded stocks, 1 advanced, 10 declined and 14 remained unchanged. At the session close, Omani investors were net buyers for OMR88,000, followed by foreign investors for OMR30,000 while GCC and Arab investors were net sellers for OMR118,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index lost 0.51 per cent to at 6,875.78 points. HSBC Bank was up by 0.85 per cent. Vision Insurance, Bank Dhofar, Bank Muscat, Al Madina Takaful and Al Anwar Holding were down 5.76 per cent, 2.42 per cent, 1.86 per cent, 1.02 per cent and 0.99 per cent respectively.
Industrial Index lost 0.10 per cent to close at 5,245.02 points. There were no gainers on Sunday. Galfar Engineering was down by 1.1 per cent.
Services Index lost 0.31 per cent to close at 2,343.07 points. There were no gainers on Sunday. Omantel, Muscat Gases and Ooredoo were down 2.3 per cent, 1.37 per cent and 0.67 per cent respectively.
