Muscat: The MSM30 index ended lower to close at 4379.49 points, down by 0.65 per cent. MSM Sharia Index closed at 603.58 points, down by 0.65 per cent. Vision Insurance was the most active in terms of volume and in terms of turnover. The top gainer of the day was Sahara Hospitality, up by 29.83 per cent while the top loser was National Aluminium Products which closed lower by 5.76 per cent.
A total number of 358 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR1.28 million with more than 8.79 million shares changing hands. Out of 29 traded stocks, 3 advanced, 18 declined and 8 remained unchanged. At the session close, Foreign investors were net sellers for OMR97,000, followed by GCC and Arab investors for OMR50,000 while Omani investors were net buyers for OMR147,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index lost 0.29 per cent to at 6,858.70 points. Ominvest and Vision Insurance were up by 1.18 per cent and 0.76 per cent respectively. Al Madina Investment, Muscat Finance, National Bank Of Oman, Al Madina Takaful and Bank Muscat were down 2.63 per cent, 1.2 per cent, 1.1 per cent, 1.03 per cent and 0.94 per cent respectively.
Industrial Index lost 0.76 per cent to close at 5,201.66 points. There were no gainers on Tuesday. National Aluminium Products, Oman Fisheries, Oman Cement, Galfar Engineering and Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles were down by 5.76 per cent, 2.86 per cent, 2.53 per cent, 2.25 per cent and 1.32 per cent respectively.
Services Index lost 0.64 per cent to close at 2,313.18 points. Sahara Hospitality was up by 29.83 per cent. Ooredoo, Al Suwadi Power, Sembcorp Salalah, OIFC and Omantel were down 2.36 per cent, 1.85 per cent, 1.76 per cent, 1.23 per cent and 0.48 per cent respectively.
