Oman shares end flat

Muscat: The MSM30 index ended flat and closed at 4,310.76 points. MSM Sharia Index closed at 589.93 points, down by 0.04 per cent. Bank Muscat was the most active in terms of volume and in terms of turnover. The top gainer was National Bank Of Oman which closed higher by 0.56 per cent while the top loser was Voltamp Energy which closed lower by 9.62 per cent.
A total number of 139 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR1.16 million with more than 4.93 million shares changing hands. Out of 19 traded stocks, 2 advanced, 2 declined and 15 remained unchanged. At the session close, Omani investors were net buyers for OMR112,000, followed by GCC and Arab investors for OMR16,000 while foreign investors were net sellers for OMR128,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index gained 0.05 per cent to at 6,848.83 points. National Bank of Oman and Ominvest were up by 0.56 per cent and 0.54 per cent respectively. Global Financial Investment was down by 3.57 per cent.
Industrial Index lost 0.51 per cent to close at 4,962.81 points. There were no gainers on Wednesday. Voltamp Energy was down by 9.62 per cent.
Services Index lost 0.03 per cent to close at 2,272.17 points. There were no gainers and losers on Wednesday.
