Muscat: The MSM30 index stood higher and closed at 4,158.49 points, up by 0.16 per cent. The MSM Sharia Index closed at 564.22 points, up by 0.08 per cent. Phoenix Power was the most active in terms of volume and in terms of turnover. Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles, up 2.74 per cent, was the top gainer while the top loser was Dhofar Cattle Feed, which lost 9.91 per cent.
A total number of 252 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR6.59 million with more than 58.97 million shares changing hands. Out of 29 traded stocks, 6 advanced, 4 declined and 19 remained unchanged. At the session close, Omani investors were net sellers for OMR337,000, followed by foreign investors for OMR9,000 while GCC and Arab investors were net buyers for OMR346,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index closed higher by 0.01 per cent at 6,645.11 points. Al Anwar Holding and Bank Muscat were up by 1.15 per cent and 0.49 per cent respectively. Ominvest was down by 0.57 per cent.
Industrial Index was up by 0.10 per cent at 4,781.45 points. Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles and Oman Fisheries were up by 2.74 per cent and 1.85 per cent. Dhofar Cattle Feed and Oman Cement were down 9.91 per cent and 0.69 per cent respectively.
Services Index closed higher by 0.11 per cent at 2,143.16 points. Ooredoo and Omantel were up by 1.11 per cent and 1.08 per cent respectively. Renaissance Services was down 1.16 per cent.
