Muscat: The MSM30 index stood higher and closed at 4,086.88 points, up by 0.29 per cent. The MSM Sharia Index closed at 551.16 points, up by 0.01 per cent. Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles was the most active in terms of volume while Bank Muscat was the most active in terms of turnover. Sohar International Bank, up 1.77 per cent, was the top gainer while the top loser was Muscat Gases, which lost 9.09 per cent.
A total number of 276 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR1.10 million with more than 7.06 million shares changing hands. Out of 29 traded stocks, 8 advanced, 6 declined and 12 remained unchanged. At the session close, Omani investors were net sellers for OMR399,000, followed by foreign investors for OMR76,000 while GCC and Arab investors were net buyers for OMR475,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index closed higher by 0.25 per cent at 6,676.08 points. Sohar International Bank, HSBC Bank Oman, National Bank Of Oman and Bank Muscat were up by 1.77 per cent, 1.68 per cent, 0.52 per cent and 0.47 per cent respetively. Al Madina Investment, Alizz Islamic Bank, and Al Anwar Holding were down by 6.9 per cent, 1.16 per cent and 1.14 per cent respectively.
Industrial Index was up by 0.26 per cent at 4,800.07 points. Oman Fisheries, Galfar Engineering, Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles and Oman Cement were up by 1.64 per cent, 1.25 per cent, 1.18 per cent and 0.35 per cent respectively. There were no losers on Sunday.
Services Index closed lower by 0.04 per cent at 2,022.55 points. There were no gainers on Sunday. Muscat Gas and National Gases were down by 9.09 per cent and 1.27 per cent respectively.
