Muscat: The MSM30 index ended lower and closed at 4,126.61 points, down by 0.63 per cent. The MSM Sharia Index closed at 543.96 points, down by 1.32 per cent. Phoenix Power was the most active in terms of volume and in terms of turnover. Dhofar Cattle Feed, up 2.86 per cent, was the top gainer while the top loser was Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles, which lost 8.33 per cent.
A total number of 303 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR1.29 million with more than 8.69 million shares changing hands. Out of 35 traded stocks, 3 advanced, 17 declined and 15 remained unchanged. At the session close, GCC and Arab investors were net sellers for OMR104,000 followed by foreigners for OMR4,000 worth of shares, while Omani investors were net buyers for OMR108,000.
Financial Index closed lower by 0.41 per cent at 6,815.94 points. There were no gainers on Sunday. Taageer Finance, Gulf Invest Services Holding, Bank Dhofar, Ominvest, and Al Madina Takaful were down by 6.8 per cent, 1.64 per cent, 1.28 per cent, 1.16 per cent, and 1.08 per cent respectively.
Industrial Index was down by 1.12 per cent at 4,755.39 points. Dhofar Cattle Feed was up by 2.86 per cent. Al Anwar Ceramics, Oman Fisheries, and Raysut Cement were down by 8.33 per cent, 3.03 per cent and 2.37 per cent respectively.
Services Index closed at 2,007.41 points, down 0.70 per cent. Phoenix Power and Renaissance Services were up by 1.1 per cent and 0.6 per cent respectively. Shell Oman Marketing, Al Jazeera Services, Sembcorp Salalah, OIFC and Al Suwadi Power were down by 6.19 per cent, 5.93 per cent, 1.54 per cent, 1.2 per cent and 1.12 per cent respectively.
