Drowning has claimed 19 lives in Oman in the last 15 months, a top official at the Royal Oman Police has revealed.
Fourteen people drowned in 2018 while a further five people died in the first quarter of this year.
The victims were aged between 17 and 30, according to ROP figures.
Over the same period, a total of 31 people were rescued from the waters in and around Oman.
