Muscat: The MSM30 closed the week at 3,930.05 points, a decline of 0.26 per cent. The MSM Sharia Index ended slightly lower at 535.28 points, down 0.48 per cent. Oman Fisheries was the most active in terms of volume while Renaissance Services led in turnover for the day. Taageer Finance, up 5.49 per cent, was the top gainer while the top loser was Al Madina Investment, which lost 3.70 per cent.
A total number of 354 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR904,000 with more than 7.16 million shares changing hands. Out of 33 traded stocks, 3 advanced, 13 declined and 17 remained unchanged. At the session close, GCC and Arab investors were net sellers for OMR62,000 while foreign investors were net buyers for OMR9,000 followed by Omani investors for OMR71,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index decreased 0.51 per cent to end at 6,322.37 points. Taageer Finance, up 5.49 per cent was the sole gainer. Al Madina Investment, Al Madina Takaful, Muscat Finance, Bank Dhofar and Alizz Islamic Bank declined 3.7 per cent, 3.33 per cent, 2.7 per cent, 1.56 per cent and 1.19 per cent respectively. Industrial Index closed at 4,666.30 points, down by 0.24 per cent. Oman Fisheries, up 1.54 per cent was the sole gainer. Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles and Galfar Engineering lost 1.9 per cent and 1.2 per cent respectively.
Services Index had loss of 0.07 per cent to close at 2,026.28 points. Renaissance Services gained 2.12 per cent while Al Jazeera Services, Al Batinah Power, Phoenix Power and OIFC were down by 2.44 per cent, 2.38 per cent, 2.3 per cent and 1.19 per cent respectively.
