Pakistan’s Supreme Court rejected former PM Nawaz Sharif’s plea seeking an extension of his bail on medical grounds.
The judges also rejected his petition seeking permission to receive cardiac treatment at a London hospital where he had undergone open-heart surgery in 2015.
Sharif has been sentenced to 17 years in jail in two corruption cases but was granted bail for six weeks for immediate cardiac treatment.
His bail will expire on 7 May, 2019.
