Two businessmen help free 27 prisoners under 'Fak Kurba' initiative

Muscat: Two businessmen have come forward to help release 27 prisoners in Al Batinah north in collaboration with the Fak kurba initiative.

Fak Kurba said in a statement online, "Sincere thanks and appreciation to the two businessmen Hamdan Al Rashidi and Faisal Al Rashidi, for their donation which contributed to the liberation of twenty-seven prisoners who meet the requirements and controls of the humanitarian initiative at the Barka Court."

Previously Dr. Mohammed Al Zadjali, Chairman of the Oman Lawyers Association had said, "Until beginning of June, the Fak Kurba initiative managed to close 600 cases of prisoners who were jailed for debt. And we are continuing to the end of the current month."
