Muscat: A total of 49 expats were arrested on Monday for violating Oman’s labour and resident laws, according to the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
According to ROP, the arrests were made in the governorate of A'Dhakiliyah.
In an online statement, ROP said: "The A'Dhakiliyah Governorate's Police Force in cooperation with the Nizwa special task force carried out the arrest of 49 expats for violating the Sultanate's labour and residence law."
Legal action has been taken against the accused.
