Muscat: MSM30 index closed at 3,824.09 points, up 0.03 per cent. The Sharia Index also closed up by 0.16 per cent at 536.93 points. Dhofar Cattle Feed up 18.42 per cent was the top gainer while Majan College, down 2.30 per cent was the top loser. Sohar International Bank was the most active in terms of number of shares traded while Gulf Investment Service was the most active in terms of turnover.
A total number of 470 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR1.294 million with more than 18.496 million shares changing hands. Out of 34 traded stocks, 12 advanced, 2 declined and 20 remained unchanged. At the session close, local investors were net sellers for OMR276,000, while foreign investors were net buyers for OMR249,000 followed by GCC & Arab investors for OMR28,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index closed at 6,280.13 points, up 0.06 per cent. Al Batinah Dev, Gulf Investment, Al Sharqia Investment, Al Anwar Holding and Sohar International Bank were up 4.94 per cent, 3.28 per cent, 1.32 per cent, 1.04 per cent and 0.93 per cent respectively. Bank Dhofar was down 1.46 per cent.
Industrial Index closed at 4,557.31 points, up 0.08 per cent. Dhofar Cattle feed, AL Anwar Ceramic, and Al Maha Ceramics were up 18.42 per cent, 1.90 per cent and 0.57 per cent respectively.
Services index up 0.21 per cent before closing up at 1,867.67 points. National Gas Al Jazeera Service and Dhofar Generating were up 5 per cent, 3.28 per cent and 0.53 per cent. Majan College was down by 2.3 per cent.
