Muscat: MSM30 index closed at 3,770.52 points, up 0.61 per cent. The Sharia Index closed higher by 0.24 per cent at 523.78 points. Renaissance Services, up 5.80 per cent, was the top gainer, while National Gas, down 7.27 per cent, was the top loser. OIFC was the most active in terms of volume and turnover.
A total number of 486 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR1.67 million with more than 16.06 million shares changing hands. Out of 27 traded stocks, 12 advanced, 3 declined and 12 remained unchanged. At the session close, foreigners were net sellers for OMR90,000 while domestic investors switched to net buyers for OMR52,000 followed by GCC & Arab investors for OMR38,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index closed at 6,208.15 points, up 0.34 per cent. Gulf Investment Services, Oman & Emirates Investment, Bank Muscat, Al Anwar Holding, and Sohar International Bank were up by 4.17 per cent, 2.74 per cent, 1.49 per cent, 1.05 per cent, and 0.94 per cent respectively. Oman United Insurance closed down 3.93 per cent, and was the only losing stock from the sector on Sunday.
Industrial Index closed at 4,432 points, up 0.13 per cent. Oman Fisheries, Galfar Engineering, and Oman Flour Mills were up by 1.49 per cent, 1.30 per cent, and 0.63 per cent respectively. There were no losers from the sector on Sunday.
Services index closed higher by 0.42 per cent at 1,846.66 points. Renaissance services, OIFC, Ooredoo, and Omantel were up by 5.80 per cent, 5.50 per cent, 1.74 per cent, and 0.38 per cent respectively. National Gas and Suwadi Power closed down by 7.27 per cent and 2.67 per cent respectively.
