Muscat: MSM30 index closed at 3,763.59 points, down 0.18 per cent. The Sharia Index closed down by 0.49 per cent at 518.84 points. Oman Fisheries, up 2.94%, was the top gainer, while Alizz Islamic Bank, down 7.59 per cent, was the top loser. OIFC was the most active in terms of volume and turnover.
A total number of 386 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR1.25 million with more than 10.51 million shares changing hands. Out of 31 traded stocks, 5 advanced, 7 declined and 19 remained unchanged. At the session close, foreigners were net sellers for OMR216,000 while domestic investors were net buyers for OMR155,000 followed by GCC & Arab investors for OMR60,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index closed at 6,133.16 points, down 1.21 per cent. Al Sharqia Investment Holding, Gulf Investment Services, and OIFC were up by 2.67 per cent, 1.33 per cent and 1.04 per cent respectively. Alizz Bank, Ahli Bank, Oman & Emirates Investment, Bank Nizwa and HSBC Oman were down by 7.59 per cent, 1.77 per cent, 1.33 per cent, 1.18 per cent and 0.87 per cent respectively.
Industrial Index closed at 4,433.03 points, up 0.02 per cent. Oman Fisheries was up by 2.94 per cent. Al Anwar Ceramic was down 1.02 per cent.
Services index closed up by 0.17 per cent at 1,849.81 points. Renaissance services and OIFC were up by 0.312 per cent and 1.94 per cent respectively. There were no losers from the sector on Monday.
