Four arrested by Royal Oman Police for possession of narcotics

Muscat: Four people, in five separate cases, were arrested by the Royal Oman Police on charges of possession and trafficking of narcotics.

In a statement, the police said, "Dhofar police command with the co-operation of the Salalah Special Tasks Police Unit, nabbed four persons for the possession of narcotics.

"They were seized with more than 2100 packages of khat, rolls of morphine and heroin and tools for its abuse.

“Legal proceedings against the accused are currently underway,” the statement added.
