Statistics on Oman’s natural reserves published

Muscat: As part of the Omani Environment Day, the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI), published a report on natural reserves in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online, NCSI said: “The percentage of marine reserves from the total protected areas in 2019 was 65%, while the area of natural reserves in relation to the land area is 3.7 in 2019.”

The Environment Day falls on January 8 every year in the Sultanate.
