Muscat: Pakistani nationals residing in the Sultanate need not to worry about returning to their country as the commercial flights will soon be operating.
More than 2500 Pakistani nationals across the Sultanate have requested at the Embassy of Pakistan to be returned back to their country.
Talking to Times of Oman, His Excellency KK Ahasan Wagan, Ambassador of Pakistan in Oman assured the Pakistani nationals to stay put as the passenger flights will soon be resumed.
“Dear community members, we are in constant touch with concerned authorities in Pakistan for arranging special PIA flights. As you all know that the world is fighting COVID-19 pandemic, I call upon all of you to exercise patience. Soon passenger flights will be resumed.
“Stay home and be safe. Always remember to adhere to the preventive guidelines and instructions issued by Oman’s Ministry of Health and the Supreme Committee,” Wagan said.
In addition to that, on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, the Pakistani ambassador offered special prayers for the community and brotherly people of Oman for their protection from COVID-19 pandemic, and wished Ramadan Kareem to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik and all government functionaries and brotherly people of Oman.
