Muscat: There will be sporadic rains associated with thunder, wind and hail over Al Hajar Mountains and chance of isolated rain along coastal areas and mountains of Dhofar Governorate, public Authority of Civil Aviation(PACA), said.
A statement issued online by PACA, said: "The aerial picture shows the formation clouds on the middle of Hajar Mountains, with chances for extension and expansion to the rest of the Hajar Mountains and the surrounding areas including the coastal areas of the Oman Sea.”
In its weather forecast, PACA said: “Mainly clear skies over most of the Sultanate with chance of convective clouds formation and isolated rain occasionally thundershowers associated with fresh winds and hail over Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas. It may extend to coastal areas of Oman Sea toward afternoon. Chances of isolated rain along coastal areas and mountains of Dhofar governorate.
The expected maximum and minimum temperatures will be 39 degrees and 30 degrees in Muscat, 32 degrees and 28 degrees in Salalah, 37 degrees and 31 degrees in Khasab, 38 degrees and 31 degrees in Sohar, 42 degrees and 32 degrees in Sur, 40 degrees and 30 degrees in Nizwa, 41 degrees and 28 degrees in Ibri and 41 degrees and 30 degrees in Buraimi.
The Oman News Agency (ONA), said: “The highest temperature expected on Monday is 42 degrees in wilayat of Sur, and the lowest is 15 degrees in Jabal Shams.”
