Air India salutes woman pilot flying repatriation flight from Muscat

Muscat: The repatriation flight carrying Indian nationals from Muscat to Kochi is being piloted by a woman, who has been commended for her bravery to take on a potentially harmful journey.

Captain Bindu Sebastian is flying the Air India Express flight from Muscat to Kochi, while her colleague Captain Kavitha Rajkumar is at the helm of the Kuala Lumpur - Trichy plane. Both planes are in operation today, a day before Mother's Day.

"Tomorrow is Mother's Day, and today, two of our women pilots who are also mothers are touching the skies to bring back our people," said the airline in a statement.
