Import of live birds from a US state banned in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries has banned the import of live birds, their products and derivatives from the state of South Carolina in the USA.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries said, "A ban has been placed on the import of live birds, products and their derivatives from the state of South Carolina, USA."

"This decision is based on a recommendation from the competent veterinary authority,” the statement added.
